HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR LASH APPOINTMENT

ARRIVE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT ON TIME

When you schedule an appointment with Dela Antoinette’s, it has a set start and end time. The amount of time allotted for each appointment type is based on the average amount of time it takes to complete the service which has been determined based on over 13 years of experience. To ensure you get the full experience and highest quality lash extension application, it’s important to arrive at your appointment on time.

MASK MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES

To reduce the spread of COVID-19 and to keep all guests safe, a well-fitted mask that covers both the nose and mouth must be worn upon entry of the building and during the appointment. If you don’t have a mask, one will be provided for you. Dela Antoinette will also wear a mask for the duration of your appointment.

Show up makeup-free

My goal is to apply your lash extensions in a way that ensures they last as long as possible. In order to do that, I ask that your lashes are free of oil and makeup. I understand that it’s not always possible to be makeup-free due to work and other appointments and because of that, I always thoroughly clean your lashes prior to applying lash extensions. But please keep in mind that if you are wearing heavy makeup or there’s dirt or oils on your lashes, it will require more time to get your lashes clean which results in less time being available to apply your lash extensions. If I spend more time cleaning your lashes, there’s a greater chance your lashes won’t be as full as they can be.

NO CAFFEINE prior to the appointment

I’ve loved a morning cup of coffee since my childhood starting at age 11. But when I’m working, I can only have a small amount of decaf because caffeine affects the nervous system which causes my hands to shake uncontrollably. I’ve learned through experience that even if you’re a regular coffee or tea drinker, consuming caffeine before your lash appointment causes the eyes to twitch and it’s difficult for most clients to relax. If your eyes are moving and you can’t remain still, it’s not only difficult but unsafe to apply your lash extensions because the tools used to apply them are sharp. Lash extension appointments should be a relaxing experience to please limit the use of stimulants like caffeine before your appointment so we can make the best use of your appointment time.

EMPTY YOUR BLADDER

Your first full set can take anywhere from 2-3 hours to complete.  Touch ups are 45 minutes or up to 1.5 hours depending on the appointment type you choose. When your bladder is full, it’s uncomfortable to lay on your back and keep still. So, please empty your bladder before your appointment so your lash nap isn't interrupted.

CELL PHONE ON SILENT, VIBRATE OR OFF

Most clients drift off to sleep and take a nap during their lash appointment. A phone ringing loudly can interrupt that nap or jolt you out of your sleep. Worse, you may react by opening your eyes. Please keep your ringer off for the duration of your appointment. If you are expecting an important call that cannot be scheduled outside of your appointment, I will stop applying your lashes so you can take the call and exit the room for your privacy however, please note this reduce your appointment time.

NO GUESTS, CHILDREN OR PETS

Per state and county guidelines to address COVID-19, no guests are allowed in the treatment room with you while services are being performed.  This includes children and pets.  If you have children or guests, they must wait in the waiting room quietly as to not disrupt other tenants. There are no exceptions.  Please make arrangements to come alone for your appointment.
