Are Hybrid Lashes Worth It? My Honest Take.

If you’ve ever spent any time looking into lash extensions, you’ve probably come across something called hybrid lashes. And if you’ve ever wondered what they are or why I don’t offer them at Dela Antoinette’s, let me break it down for you.

So, what are hybrid lashes?

In the simplest terms, hybrid lashes are a mix of two techniques: Everyday lashes (that’s one extension applied to one natural lash) and Volume lashes (that’s multiple ultra-light extensions fanned together and applied to a single lash).

The goal with hybrid lashes is to achieve a look that’s fuller than the Everyday set, but not as full as a Volume set. Think of it like the “middle ground” for people who want more density without going all the way.

Why I don’t offer hybrid sets

Here’s the thing: I could offer hybrids, but I don’t - on purpose. And here’s why. When you truly understand lash design and how to work with different lash layers, you can achieve the same soft, slightly fuller effect using only volume lashes. It just takes a trained eye and a little artistry.

In fact, I find that hybrid lashes don’t grow out as nicely. Because Everyday lashes and volume fans have different weights and shedding patterns, they don’t always wear evenly. That means the set can start to look unbalanced or messy sooner than a full volume set would.

What I recommend instead

If you’re looking for something that’s natural, soft, and slightly fuller than the Everyday set, my Posh Volume Set is a perfect choice that can be customized for your eye shape, facial structure and lifestyle.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about which technique is used - it’s about how it’s applied and why.

I’m all about giving you lashes that last, grow out gracefully, and make you feel like the best version of yourself - no shortcuts.
